Idris Francis, an electrical engineer, devoted much of his retirement to road safety analysis, particularly examining the effects of speed cameras the misuse of statistics in road safety.

From the year 2000 to until his death he devoted many thousands of unpaid hours studying road accident and casualty data, reports and policies

His website called ‘Fight Back With Facts’ is a tribute to his tenacity and is essential reading for anyone wanting to discern fact from fiction.
