Make no mistake, the Welsh Labour Government’s decision to impose default 20mph speed limits on urban roads across Wales from September 2023 is part of a wider globalist agenda.
Masquerading as a road safety initiative, the true purpose of the 20mph limits is to get cars and drivers off the road, in accordance with the World Ecommic Forum’s Agenda 2030 which nobody of course was invited to vote on.
The scheme has been hugely unpopular since its inception as an early petition signed by some 468,608 predicted. Naturally, the Welsh Government working for their WEF masters chose to dismiss this petition out of hand. Nobody should be surprised by that.
Launch Of The Petition Against The Blanket 20mph Limits
This video shows the strength of feeling amongst people who signed the petition against 20mph
The last person speaking on this video was absolutely right to wonder whether blanket 20mph is the tip of the iceberg and where this will all end.
In a word, serfdom, with Road Charges, Fifteen Minute Cities and the like. This is not conspiracy theory – Welsh Labour has already published their intention to do such things in their Orwellian “Welsh Transport Deliver PLan 2022-2027 (see page 45)
Unless people stand up and be counted in the Senedd elections in 2026 then Wales is finished. (See tab below “How to Rid Wales of 20mph Limits Decisively).
THE KEY THING IS, YOU MUST VOTE IN 2026.
DON’T LET LABOUR SECURE ANOTHER TERM THROUGH YOUR APATHY

The Petition One Year On
The article linked below sets out the situation in Wales one year on from the petition being submitted. It covers the Welsh Labour Government in no credit whatsover – and so the fight must go on.
THE WELSH CONSERVATIVE PARTY HAS PROVIDED VOCIFEROUS OPPOSITION TO THE BLANKET 20MPH LIMITS FROM THE OUTSET
Natasha Asghar MS, the Conservative Party’s then Shadow Minister for Road Transport has been a vociferous campaigner against the scheme from the outset.
In this video she sets out a number of valid reasons in support of her arguments that the 20mph regime should be rescinded….
…..YET THE ‘TWENTY’S PLENTY’ ORGANISATION FULLY SUPPORTS THE SCHEME
The ‘Twenty’s Plenty’ organisation, a UN aligned NGO headed by Rod King MBE is enthusiastically in favour of the scheme which its National Campaign Manager seeks to defend in the face of an opposing view….
TOM GIFFARD MS FRAMES THE LABOUR GOVERNMENT’S WAR ON MOTORISTS AS IN THE NATURE OF SOCIALISM…..
…..WHILST FELLOW CONSERVATIVE JANE FINCH-SAUNDERS MS EVISCERATES LABOUR’s LEE WATERS, THE THEN TRANSPORT MINISTER WITH LINKS TO SUSTRANS AND MAN BEHIND THE 20MPH SCHEME
Finch-Saunders accuses Waters of pursuing his own personal agenda as a member of Sustrans, the cycling lobby group, at the expense of drivers…..
…. AND ANDREW RT DAVIES MS, WHILST LEADER OF THE WELSH CONSERVATIVES NAILS IT WHEN HE SAYS THE PURPOSE OF THE SCHEME IS CONTROL…..
We say that blanket 20mph limits are a completely unnecessary measure for road safety purposes but a very necessary measure for the globalist’s agenda to restrict peoples’ liberties and bring them to heel under the control of an overbrearing state.
The former Welsh Conservative Leader, Andrew RT Davies, appears to agree with this and promises that the Welsh Conservatives will rescind the policy……
……. AND A TRANSPORT PROFESSOR RAISES OTHER PROBLEMS WITH THE SCHEME..
Professor Stuart Cole – Emeritus Professor of Transport at the University of South Wales, explained why 20mph is having a negative impact on bus services in Wales. On the show, the professor noted that:
- Buses are built to be traveling with a speed limit of 30mph in urban areas.
- They can also travel at 10mph in other sections of the route and most busses are now automatic.
- Their gearing system is designed to travel very slowly at around ten miles an hour and much more quickly at 30mph and above.
- They’re not designed to travel at 20mph. Therefore, the driver is spending more of his or her time adjusting the gearing system.
- More vehicles would be needed to provide the same frequency of service. And that, of course, means more drivers. And there’s a shortage of drivers. It’s just not possible in many cases to achieve a higher frequency and a higher number of vehicles traveling than there is now.
Commenting on Professor Stuart Cole’s comments, Welsh Conservative Shadow Transport Minister, Natasha Asghar MS said:
“With an already struggling bus sector in Wales the Labour Government have used the blanket 20mph rollout to seemingly bring down the final curtain call on Welsh bus services.
“All the while forcing people off the road onto non-existent public transport. You couldn’t make it up. It’s completely backwards thinking, which is unsurprising from Labour’s Deputy Minister, unfortunately.
“For bus drivers to be more focused on controlling gears than paying attention to the roads, could regretfully lead to more accidents. With the blanket policy in place for just over a week, buses unable to cope with the strain and more than 440,000 people in Wales signing a record-breaking Senedd petition to scrap 20mph speed limits, it would appear that Labour’s policy has already stalled.”
FINALLY, A TELLING OBSERVATION FROM THE FREEDOM FOR DRIVERS FOUNDATION SAYS IT ALL….

The Freedom for Drivers Foundation (FFDF) is a body that aims to educate the public about the benefits of road vehicles. It says:
“With cars, vans and taxis accounting for 80% of the mileage of all trips in the UK, and over 65% of goods being carried by road, the road network and the people who use it are of vital importance to the nation’s economy.
It is unfortunate that transport policies in the last few years have been dominated by anti-car factions who either hate cars or are cycling fanatics. As a result, we have very unbalanced transport policies which impose enormous costs on residents and visitors. Private transport is penalised and discouraged.”
Perhaps the above remark is an understatement.
